Shweta Tiwari the famous television and reality star was born on 4 October 1980 in Pratapgarh Uttar Pradesh. She is famous for portraying the role of Prerna Bajaj in the super- hit K- series ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’ which was telecasted in Star Plus in early 2002. Moreover, she was also the winner of the reality show Bigg Boss – Season 4. Shweta Tiwari primarily works in television shows, Bollywood films and some remarkable Bhojpuri films too.

Shweta Tiwari was earlier married to her ex- husband Raja Chaudhary in 1998 when she was just 18. She had a daughter with him named Palak Tiwari. Later, in 2007 they have divorced and parted ways due to her husband’s physical and emotional abuse towards her and her daughter. She has even made a police complaint against Raja Chaudhary and mentioned that under the influence of alcohol he used to beat her up on regular basis. Moreover, the atrocities created by her husband was till that extent when he used to visit her set of her TV shows and misbehave with her and insult her.

Again, Shweta Tiwari found love in TV actor Abhinav Kohli   and they have tied the knot on 13 July 2013 after a courtship of almost 3 years. The television actress had a son with her husband from second marriage. Recently, the news has sparked that Shweta Tiwari is also facing problems with Abhinav Kohli also. This led to the arrest of her husband after Shweta Tiwari filed a police complaint against Abhinav Kohli for harassing his step daughter Palak Tiwari.

Shweta Tiwari started her career in the Indian television industry with the TV serial Kaahin Kissi Roz as a supporting cast. Later on, in 2001 she played the lead role of Prerna Bajaj for Ekta Kapoor’s drama show – Kasauti Zindagi Kay in Star Plus. This show ended on 2008. After a gap of two years from television show, she participated as a contestant in the 4th season of Bigg Boss in 2010. This was telecasted in Colors TV and she has also emerged as the winner of the 4th season of Bigg Boss.

In addition to this, she also appeared in several TV shows like Sony TV’s Parvarish – Kuch Khatee Kuch Meethi in 2013. Again she also acted in &TV’s Begusarai in 2015. She has also appeared in other TV and reality shows like Khichdi, Naaginn, Nach Baliye 2, Jaane Kya Baat Hui, Yeh Rishta Hya Kehlata Hai, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, Jhalak Dhiklaja, Baal Veer, etc. Currently she is doing the TV show – Mere Dad Ki Dulhan which is telecasted in Sony TV.

Though Shweta Tiwari is having a glorious career in the Indian television industry, she is also active in various Bollywood and regional films. She has also played an important supporting cast role in some of the Bollywood films like Madhoshi (2004), Aabra Ka Daabra (2004), etc. She has also done regional films like Trinetra (Nepali), Apni Boli Apna Des (Punjabi), Devru (Kannada), Yedyanchi Jatra (Marathi), Sultanat (Pakistani Urdu film), etc.

Shweta Tiwari is also known to act in several Bhojpuri movies with several Bhojpuri stars. Her debut Bhojpuri film is’ Hamar Saiyan Hindustan’ opposite Ravi Kishan and her ex- husband actor Raja Chaudhary. Another Bhojouri hit in her name is ‘Ae Bhauji Ke Sister’ opposite Manoj Tiwari. This was the biggest hit in 2010. Her other Bhojpuri movies are ‘Sabse Bada Rupaiya’ and ‘Kab Aibu Anganwa Hamar’.
