Vincent Kennedy McMahon (also, known as Vince McMahon) was born on August 24, 1945 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He pursued his graduation and earned a business degree from East Carolina University in the year 1968.
Previously, he was a commentator at the WWE, and then he gained control of the company in the year 1982. He played an instrumental role in developing the highly successful Wrestle Mania, an annual event.
In the year 2001, the WWE purchased the World Championship Wrestling (WCW), which was its main competitor. In addition, in the year 2003, WWE bought over the assets of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), a non-operational company.
McMahon has dabbled with several WWE projects. This includes the launch of the WWE Network in the year 2014; users can subscribe to this video-on-demand streaming service.
