Samantha Ruth Prabhu is an Indian actress who primarily works in Telugu and Tamil films. She was born on 28 April 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She completed her degree in commerce at Stella Maris College, Chennai. Samantha made her debut in the Telugu romantic movie Ye Maaya Chesave in the year 2010.
Throughout her successful career, Samantha has acted in many top-grossing movies such as Dookudu (2011), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2012), Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Kaththi (2014), Theri (2016), 24 (2016), Mersal (2017), and Rangasthalam (2018). Her talent and dedication towards her work have made her a popular and admired actress in the South Indian film industry.
Samantha got married to Naga Chaitanya, the son of famous Indian actor Nagarjuna, in a grand ceremony in the year 2017. Their wedding was a star-studded event and was attended by many celebrities from the film industry. On 2 October 2021, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation.
