NDTV 24*7 is owned and managed by New Delhi Television Limited (abbreviated as NDTV). This popular English news channel started operations from the year 2003 onwards. Simultaneously, NDTV launched a Hindi news channel, NDTV India, in the same year also.  

In addition to that, NDTV Prime, an infotainment channel, comes under the NDTV umbrella; NDTV Prime was known as NDTV Profit initially.

The founders of NDTV are Prannoy Roy and his wife Radhika Roy. The couple comes from Kolkata city in the West Bengal state. The Chairman of NDTV is Prannoy Roy, while the NDTV Managing Director is Radhika Roy. They launched NDTV in the year 1984.

NDTV 24*7 broadcasts news in English round-the-clock on television and digital platforms, and operates from New Delhi in India. Also, NDTV 24*7 is recognized to be the first news channel in India to broadcast news all day long.

NDTV 24*7 is available on national and international networks. In countries other than India, NDTV runs operations from different distribution partners. Among them are the US-based Direc TV and Time Warner Cable. 

In Canada, NDTV broadcasts its programs via the Asian Television Network ad under the brand name ATN NDTV 24*7.

NDTV channels are widely watched by the Indian diaspora in many countries around the world. Because of its deals with satellite operators like Direc TV and Sky, NDTV can serve in several countries. These include Asia Pacific, Canada, US, UK, South Africa, and the Middle East.

Among the various awards that NDTV has received for its exemplary contribution to the News world is the Best English News Channel in the years 2005 and 2006 at the Indian Television Academy Awards.
